in 2013, Panshanger Aerodrome is now recorded on Hertfordshire's 'Historic Environment Record'.
Although either side of the aerodrome at Panshanger has notable interest for conservation by English Heritage and the local council, the Blister Hangers, which are described as 'Rare & In-Situ', in the report are excluded from protection? Post war, there are worthy examples of historic character which I would like to champion, including the hanger built for the SK1 Jet Plane (the Panshanger Jet) & the Earls Court Velodrome, as shown on british pathe newsreels of the 50's & 60's.
